While dry camping at Walmart in Arnold, Missouri last night I took a shower and this morning we were running our dish water and the water quit. I tried again and got enough to wash dishes. When we started to rinse the dishes there was no water. The fuse is good. There is water in the fresh water tank. I ended up getting a gallon out of the fresh water drain valve underneath to clean up our mess. The pump does not make any sound when I turn on the water inside or outside.

There are no Camping World's in St. Louis area. When I Google for Shurflo I find several different types and models. Which model are you guys using to replace your water pump?

I use the Shurflo 2088 model number. Mine is a 2088-422-444 but that last two sets of numbers has changed over the years.

While I was in St. Louis I called several places and they were all closed on Sunday. I'm now in Sikeston, Missouri. I 'm still looking for a pump.

Have you taken a look at your pump Steve for a broken or loose wire?
I lived with these demand pumps for 20 years in a solar home and it was rare that one died of natural causes. I had one that wouldn't start but that was because an ant had gotten trapped in the switch contacts, then another when it gave up to the salty environment.

I replaced mine with the 4008 101 E65 Shureflow. It replaces the 2088 series. Hope this helps, its worked great so far.

I made it to CW in Nashville this afternoon. I wanted a Shurflo 4048 but it was $200. Remembering this post I grabbed a box that said 4008 in big letters. Later in the afternoon when I'm long gone from Nashville I discover in the fine print that it is a 4028 which is 2 gpm instead of the 3 gpm. We needed water so I installed it and it seems to work fine. Better pressure and quieter.

The old pump had good connections and I measured 12.8 volts at the wire nuts. It just would not run.

Disappointed that the warranty is useless to me. I just don't have time to sit around waiting on CW for days, sometimes weeks, for them to fix something that is a 15 minute job.

My old pump lasted about 8 months. Of course we have used it every day since we brought the camper.

I am a mobile pet groomer and the word around the country, with other mobile pet groomers wh use Shurflo is that the newer ones are not lasting nearly as long as the older ones. As a mobile pet groomer we use these pumps hard every single day pumping up to 50 gallons of water per day to conduct our grooming businesses. I have a agricultural sprayer pump on mine. It came from Atwoods and I have had no issues with it other than a bent blade connector on the power supply. The connections are the same. I believe my pump was about $60 new. Might be worth picking up one of these as a backup to keep on hand if your Shurflo fails.

Dang, the 4008 101 E65 is the 3gpm. I had to look close on the box because there are several different ones. I dont know why the mark the boxes like that.. saves money I guess just to put those little stickers on instead of printing different boxes.

2 hrs from anywhere , out for a week of playing on the ATVs and woke up to a flooded out compartment, pulled off panel and water pump was shooting water everywhere. 2 hr round trip to town and a sureflow pump works like a charm. WFCO pumps are terrible...

As for the pump that apperars to be history, it still runs but is making a loud knocking noise and continues to loose prime. Water tanks full all the simple stuff checked.

A visual inspection through vent hole doesn't show any water leaks around it on either intake or supply side. I think its just a cheap pump. When I turned it on... it vibrates violently shaking all the water lines and sounds like a car motor fixing to throw a rod.
Same here, was actually the first time dry camping. Seem to work ok at first then I notice some dripping from the side where you fill the water tank up. Thought it just might be an over flow thing, then started getting a lot of air in the water lines, pump kept running and would not pressure up the line to stop the pump. After troubleshooting the issue and removing the wall to expose the pump, it was leaking at the pump casing, hence the water dripping and also the air in the lines. Was glad to have determined both issues. Called my dealer and told them about it, they asked if I was able to bring the pump in. Told him yes, brought the pump in and they replaced it with a ShurFlo. Didn't have to pay any extra at the time, they will let me know what Dutchman (Keystone) says they will do, so I might have to pay the difference between the two pumps. Replaced the pump and so far works like it should. They should be putting ShurFlos in them to begin with. Since they are having to replace these pumps under warranty...but oh well, bean counters I guess
