Just ordered the lights and now DH is asking - did you run the wires from the lights on the outside to the trim piece or did you run it inside and drill thru the trim piece? How are you protecting them if you did? Also he wanted to know how hard it is to remove/replace the insert trim!

Can you take a close up picture ??

Thanks
Kathy

Hi Kathy

I did run the wires inside the trim piece. My Voltage has the full body paint so I think the trim moldings are different than the trailers that are unpainted.
I was able to pull the plastic insert out of the trim molding and run the wires under the insert and then just snap the plastic insert back over the wires. I then ran the wires all the way down to the factory tail lights on the bottom and drilled through the channel iron (frame) to make my electrical connections. The wires are dry and protected inside the trim molding. No wires are showing on the exterior or interior on the trailer.
Hope this helps.
