Voltage Rear Leveler Leg Issues (Electric)
Last year I had one of the snap pins from the drop leg (the one with all the holes) of the rear leveler break off and get stuck between the drop leg and the powered portion of the leg. I thought this was happening because I didn't lock the pin in all the way as some of them require some wiggling to get them to go through both side. The first time wasn't so bad but the second time it really got wedged in there and I had to remove the leg from the trailer just to get home from the weekend.
I took the leg home and really had to work it to get the busted portion of the pin out. Once i got it out of there, I had to beat on the drop leg a bit just to get it back into the powered portion.
I have since ditched the snap pins and I use the regular pins similar to the ones that were on the from legs. The problem is, that after the last two times of camping, these pins are bending on the ends as well. I know for a fact that these go all the way through as I snap the little metal safety bit over the end of the pin. The only thing I can think of is that with the potential that the holes are reamed out a bit or there is a little gap it puts too much pressure on the end of the pin. It still does not make much sense but I figure the best way to fix it is to get a new leg or at a minimum the drop leg.
Can any of you that may be at your trailer tell me how long the rear leg is? I know they are shorter than the fronts. I want to make sure I get the right one.
