Voltage 3950 axles

I need to replace the shackles and bushings on my 2012 Voltage 3950.. Are the axles Dexter or Lippert. Also I have heard of a wet kit but don't know anything about them.. I would like to put the heaviest and best kit in for the money.. What brand should I use? Thanks in advance.. Fred

I did mine last winter, mine are Lippert. Used 1/2" shackles and wet bolts with the Bronze bushings.

Some use the No fail bushings and don't worry about the wet bolts. Wet bolts take more maintenance but I feel better knowing there is grease on metal moving parts. If you look at my posts I have a list of what is needed.

Ahhh, grease-able bushings/bolts.. I will probably go that direction with extra thick or double shackles. The camper is currently setting in the middle of a 240 acre field. I just started a conversation with a RV mechanic about tires and that is when we noticed a shackle hanging loose... Now this is about as ugly as it gets but I am glad it didn't do any more damage. I just pulled this camper 1175 miles and I don't know when this happened?? I am going try to install 2 shackles I just purchased for 2 dollars... I am going to take it to a rv dealer for repair as I don't have the resources to do this big of a job. Thanks for all the info..

Gee sounds like my last 250 miles home from Alaska in September.

Shackles broke front eye of the left rear spring. The spring shifted off the framed, punctured the the belly pan. I was amazed that the tires on the rear axle were balder that bald and still held 85PSI.

I used the Mor-ryde wet bolt kit, the shackles are just under 2 1/2 times the thickness of the tinny factory made in china crap.

If it were me I wouldn't even try to use two dollar shackles. What about the bushings, they will have to be replaced, because by now you will peices of plastic that are about the thickness of a mile jug.

If I couldn't do the job myself, I would take it to a spring shop before I let Stealership get their mits on it. After all who are the suspension experts.

That looks just like the Mor-Ryde kit. I bought mine at the axle shop I bought my 6K axles.

They made the the axles on site and after they put the bow in them they went on to a jig to check they were going to run ture.

I just bought the 2 dollar shackles to get the thing back together and limp it back to a shop for repair. The camper is in the middle of a field in Florida and it is just setting on sand.. So it might be a little difficult to get this back together.. It will take a lot of cribbing?? I just got here from Indiana so I don't have any air tools or my full arsenal of tools like I have at home.

In the photos, that's the K71-656-00 E-Z Flex® Complete Triple Kit that I bought directly from Dexter.

The wet bolt kits are probably made by the same supplier, with the OEMs name stamped on the shackles.
