Voltage 3200 Fuel Tanks

Anyone know how big the fuel tanks are on the Voltage 3200? Also has anyone ever hooked up the fuel pump to the generator tank? I could see this being helpful if the aux. tank runs dry and you need a little extra fuel. It could also be helpful during winter months or time when the trailer would be stored and to be able to empty the fuel tanks into cans or a car so it doesn't go bad in the tank.

Mine are 30 gallons each. There should be a label on each tank of build date and size.
I have not found a drain on the tanks.

Rear fuel cap fills the generator tank front is for the pump. I haven't seen a Voltage that isn't that way.

Yes that is the way mine is.

To be clear, I was not asking if there was a drain plug for the fuel tanks. I was asking if anyone has ever hooked up the fuel pump to both the Aux tank and the Gen tank with some type of switch to choose which tank it will pump from.

That is correct... and the pump will reach from Aux tank to genset tank as well to fill it... NO drains that I can see at all on the tanks.

I understand the gen tank can be filled by using the aux fuel pump.

To rephrase, I am wondering is anyone has hooked up the fuel pump to pump fuel FROM BOTH the aux tank and the gen tank, either separately or at the same time.

I gotcha sounds like a good idea...at least to have the option to pump from either tank!... I like it[emoji106]

Mohon, since you can fill the general tank from the auxiliary tank most need to pump both tanks.
I did put a shut off valve in the fuel line right before my genny. This way I can starve my genny of fuel when storing it. And I can pull the the line off and get emergency fuel out of it if needed.

I like this idea as well... because I can't always start up every 30 days.

My 2014 3800 Epic III has a 40 gallon "toy" tank forward and a 30 gallon "generator" tank rearward.
I don't think it would be that difficult to hook a pump to the "generator" tank, but I think mounting another pump in that small compartment would be a PITA.

Now, I've added an automotive electric fuel pump to push fuel to the Onan generator upfront. It would not be that difficult to mount one in the generator fuel line and use it to pump fuel from the "generator" tank to the "toy" tank. Probably not the fastest, but I'm figuring that would be pretty much an emergency anyway.

I put on my to do list for the last trip of the year to put in enough Seafoam, one ounce per gallon, for a full tank and then fill the tanks. I use what I need, but have assurance there is enough Seafoam to keep the fuel stable all Winter. Hasn't failed me yet.

I do drain the "toy" tank by filling one of the gas powered trucks or filling gas cans.

Just thoughts,

Pirate
