V3605 A/C, no flow out of ducted vents.

I found the thread talking about taking the ac off the roof, and re-taping everything, but it seemed that everyone doing this had a standard Voltage with the ducted supply and returns. My V-Series, has ducted, supplies, but not ducted returns. Has anyone done this modification on a V-series, with the non-ducted returns? Is it the same process? Thanks

There has to be a return for the A/C to pump air out. The returns are generally on the edges of the ceiling, 6x12 inches,

The v-series do not have ducted returns. On my 3305, I was having low air flow out of my vents also. If you open the filter access door, you will see a plastic divider plate that seperates the discharge air from the return air. Mine had fell down some and was allowing the discharge air to go right back to the return thus decreasing the airflow out the vents. This was also causing it to freeze up at times. I have good airflow now since I fixed it.

I have a 2013 V3800 that has return ducts to service the garage, bathroom and living room. Apparently the newer models don't use return air ducts.

Since we don't know what the OP has then all suggestions are just SWAGs.

The 3800 is not a v-series. The v-series are the 3005,3105(now discontinued),3305,3605,3805, and the new 4000.

Tomorrow I will be more than happy to post a photo of V3800 graphic stuck below the assist handle.

Not gonna argue with you. The info is on the voltage website. If you want it to be a v-series, then fine but you just de-valued it by about 15 to 20 grand.

Maybe they had an extra graphic and didn't know where it went so they stuck it on mine.

Dunno, it is a Dutchman product after all.

The v-series is considered a "budget model." Although they are nice, their not as nice as yours. They don't have recessed puck lights, quad steps, trail-air hitch, etc. Full body paint is not an option nor the 3rd a/c over the garage. There are several other differences but thats what comes to mind right now. Kind of like comparing a chevy 3500 lt to an ltz, or a ford lariat to a king ranch.

2013 V3800 Features and Options

The Voltage 3800 Dutchmen Toy Hauler fifth wheel is available at General RV Center. The Voltage 3800 is part of Dutchmen’s V-Series line and is often referred to as the V3800. This RV is has a 14’ cargo garage that even features a gas pump station. You can’t go wrong with the Voltage 3800 Fifth Wheel Toy Hauler if you have ATVs, Motorcycles, or just need the extra cargo space while camping.

Like I said, it's a Dutchman product and subject to change and interpretation and all kinds of things we aren't privy too.

I believe I'll take Dutchmen's word over General Rv's.

The only difference between my 3600 and your 3800 is the 3800 has 2 more feet of garage. My 3600 is not a V-Series and neither is your 3800 a V-Series.

Interesting debate. 3wheeler and azdryheat are correct. Your 3800 is not a V-Series. I just went out and looked at the sticker on my 3905. On the left side of the door the sticker says V3905, but it is not a V-Series. The V is for Voltage.

On the Voltage website there is a Voltage section and a V-Series section. The 3800 is in the Voltage section. I can't believe we're even having this discussion.

I believe that if you wanted to fully duct your a/c with ducted returns you would need a different model of a/c. My main, fully ducted a/c sits on top of the roof and no part of it protrudes under the roof line. My bedroom and garage a/c's are like yours and extend through the roof. Again, they're different units.

Apparently I was misled by the RV dealer but what's new about dealers and misinformation?
No biggie, I don't get caught up in non-essential specifics unless they are essential.

Now that I am set right let's see if the OP can get his problem handled.

Thanks for the help everyone. As 3wheeler stated, mine does not have the ducted returns, it returns directly under the unit. I will check that divider.

On a side note, my 3605 is a 2016 model, and it does have the recessed puck lights. I dont have a picture of my rig now, but it has the same ac as the one in the link below.

I'm not looking to change the system at all, i just want air to come out of the ducted supply vents in the rest of the unit.
