TV sound in the master bedroom in the 3970.....

I loved the layout when we purchased, but after moving in and during the first night in the new FW, I noticed that when I was laying in bed watching TV and the A/C kicked in, I couldn't hear the TV on the other side of the room. The A/C unit is directly in the ceiling in the center of the room. It's getting to be pretty annoying and I'm sure this wouldn't be as noticeable if I weren't in Texas and didn't need the A/C as much, but I'm curious to know if anyone has been annoyed by this and what was done if anything to address it. I've thought about putting in additional speakers in the headboard area to address this, but then I need a bluetooth/rechargeable speaker as well as a transmitter connected to the Directv receiver. Not a very cheap solution. Turning off the A/C isn't an option either.

I'm curious to know if there's any solution to this........

I don't have a 3970 but the AC is right over the bed between me and the TV. I just turn up the volume. Actually, what I try to do is keep the bedroom door closed so it gets as cold as possible in the bedroom before going to bed. Then I let the main AC run during the night.

I get more annoyed by the noise & vibrations created in the bedroom when the compressor for that direct air A/C kicks on.

Hello! We're considering buying the 3970 because we like the layout better than most anything else we've seen.....excluding the Mobile Suites. I'm interested in knowing whether you've experienced other problems, are happy with the 3970 and if you'd recommend the model and company. Thanks!

Yep, I'm staying away from this one.

Surprisingly, we are quite happy with the 3970 as I expected more issues. We took a trip from Texas to Colorado and Utah last month and really had no issues at all. The only real issue since the DPI has been that the auto level wasn't working correctly due to wires being incorrectly connected at the factory. It was fixed quite easily. We really liked the Mobile Suite as well, but I want to have my Goldwing with us, so that was essentially the differentiator. Pick the model that suits your lifestyle the best and go from there. Good luck!

I keep the fan in manual mode on low and adjust volume for tv to the wife's liking. When the compressor kicks in not much of a difference in decibels. Not to our ears... anyway. Its the nature of the beast in a Voltage...

I only have a tiny TT but it seems that the same issue is common regardless. My solution was to plug the radio into the tv external speaker plug on the back and use the radio ceiling speakers with the t.v. Turn the radio on aux and away you go, easily overcoming the a/c noise and getting a better quality sound as well. Maybe this will work in your rig. Good luck!
