Terrible service Bad Dealer

I am just venting here but I made an appointment 3 weeks ago with fedders marine and rv in Lemars Iowa to fix the AC issues and awning lights. They said they were busy now but would have an opening in 2 weeks that I would get right in as they had my 3895 for a month and a half to fix the back up camera back in January. I thought this ment that they would have it in the shop on Tuesday Now a week later they havent even touched it. I am picking it up tonight and spreading the word that they will lie and not do what they say. I didn't buy from them becaus they were $6000 overpriced. If I knew that they would not do warranty work I would have maybe bought a different brand than voltage. we love the layout and the option that the voltage has but I feel like I am on my own with it. Warranty is a Joke.

They are the closest dealer to me but I will never use or buy anything from Fedders again.

Beware.

They are not the only ones like that, trust me. I think we need to start a thread about dealers with good reputations and will back up their word. I've never condoned government intervening in the private sector but I think something needs to be done. Why can't it be like buying a car? If I buy a new chevy in TN, I can have warranty work done at any chevy dealer in the country no questions asked.

I think that topic was short lived before when it was mentioned.

Problem seems to be more crappy dealers than stellar. Sad part is; even a good dealer can have a bad day, or a overly picky customer. One thing I always ask is the techs are RVIA certified. If not I start looking a whole lot closer at the overall operation. If they are, it is no guarantee, but it does mean that they did take some time and money to train their people.
