I don't - after having done this, you can cut them down to any width you need. As you are probably well aware, the key is a square cut and weld. I took the excess out of the center of the end trim pieces so as to maintain all the factory holes on each end. The pieces that go in the drawer base itself I cut right off on the ends as there were only two rivets holes on each end and easy to redrill.

My last rig had one that slid thru both side doors and I loved it - of course there was a narrowing effect by a wet bay in that one either. That is why I went with two separate drawers this time.

Lot's of great info here, Thanks to everyone. I was thinking the 90" drawer like posted earlier and also thinking the same way donzinger did in customizing to maximize the width. BTW Donzinger, I looked at all your mod's in your pic's and like the direction you have gone. One I didn't see that is one of my favorites is plexiglass in the scren door. Just spent a week in Breckinridge, CO with temps down to 11F and it's great having the door wide open during the day.

donzinger, I was thinking of skipping the "trim kit" completly and just making up my own cross pieces and end pieces. Probably hardwood for the end pieces and flat aluminum for the cross pieces and frame location pieces. From what you have seen would that work? From what I can tell it may be easier than cutting and welding the end pieces and in the end maybe even cheaper. Thoughts?

That could work. Worse case you order the kit you want and see what you come up with and worse case, you get the trim kit after.

Sliding tray
Sliding tray. I just finished installing a tray in my 3970. I was able to relocate the back wall and vacuum to end up with 52" x 60" I installed a 42" x 60" MORride. You can screw the front side but the rear side has the tanks under it and they are flush up to the deck. The only problem is on mine the end is flush with the step down so it only has a 60 % opening limit and leave only a 50% opening but it is still nice.

Thanks for the pic!! I will have to look into whether I can cut the basement rear wall out like you have. That would make for a lot wider slide out.
Thanks very much.
Oh, and what did you do with the vacuum system?
