Skylight Repair

We've had heavy rain in AZ the last 2 days and I could periodically hear a drip. Turns out it was the skylight. Lucky me it was dripping into the shower! It is dry today so I climbed up on the roof and sure enough the skylight is cracked on the upper side of the roof. I ordered a new skylight today but am confused about the required sealant. Apparently the Lexan skylight is supposed to be installed with Surebond SB140. If you have done this repair do I need this specific sealant or can I just use Dicor self leveling?

I had to reseal mine last year due to poor installation craft work. I was told and followed the advise of the dealer to lay it in a bed of Dicor self leveling. I did this and was careful not to squeeze it all out when I reinstalled the screws, so far it has performed better than the original install but that's not saying much. I'm not saying this is the correct procedure, just that it works/ed for my situation.

Cheers

Where did you get your skylight from? Was this the outer dome you're talking about. Mine has a inner one as well. my outer one just got killed with some intense hail along with most of my other components on the roof. Also if I may ask another question. Both vent covers from my bathroom and garage got hammered as well. You wouldn't happen to know which brand are on the voltage? I have the 2014 3950

I didn't have to replace the skylight, only reseal it. The dealer I use had them in stock though, I think skylight and vent covers are considered a wear item and most dealers will stock or at least be able to order them.

I replaced the outer sky light over the shower. PREMIUM Heavy Duty THICKER RV Skylight 22 x 14 ID 26 x 18 Outer Diameter WHITE | eBay
There are several vent lid MFG. look at the hinge connection and how the crank arm connects to the lid.
