Is that a viable option at a park where you have to use a community dump site? And does it do a good job cleaning out the black tank? I use a clear elbow with the water jet built in, just wondering if it's comparable?

Maybe... you have to have a water source to make it work properly. I used to use it on another trailer, we had a quick disconnect and would fill the fresh water tank part way up and leave the pump on. I also carry a water thief for the hose and try to time my dump visits during slow periods.

It is not as quick as a regular stinky slinky, but a whole lot cleaner. It does a reasonable job of back washing the black tank. I also have a wand that I can stick down the toilet too.

If we are camping close to home we usually just wait until we get home to dump and rinse the tanks unless we happen to have fancy site with sewer, then I take major advantage of it.

The current trailer has minuscule tanks, everything is ~28 gallons. I haven't tested it yet to see if that is enough water to flush the black tank or not.

Here is a link to a video on how it works.

I just found the blog from the guy that tested it.

You will need to look at your plumbing configuration, mine have always had pretty short straight pipes on them. Apparently if you have more bends it doesn't work well or at all on the flush mode. I am sort of a belt and suspenders guy. If I am flushing it at home or a full hook up site, I fill the tank several times with water and let it go. Then use my rinse wand and fill it up again. When it runs clear I am happy.

I'd have to go out and measure it to be sure as I made it several years ago for my previous 5th wheel, but I painted it!
