Ramp door coating

I am looking for ideas to create more traction on the ramp door. Whatever coating they put on at the factory is slick as ice when it's wet. I have slipped and nearly fallen with just wet sneakers which makes loading a 500 lb motorcycle rather tricky if it is raining or wet.
I am open to any ideas or things that some of you have already done.

How about tacking on some thin diamond plate that they sell at Home Depot?

Diamond plate would be a slick as the door itself. There's more flat surface than there is raised on the diamond plate. The best in my opinion would be expanded metal, more traction surfaces and very little flat surfaces and areas to displace water.
Or, like me, leave it at home and park it in the garden shed. I've had my one and only spill on that ramp.

I have used this product on my 39' sailboat sailing offshore ( the ultimate test of a non-skid deck surface) and it performed wonderfully. It is simply mixed into what ever paint you want to use and. Roll it on. Can't be simpler!

You might also contact your local Line-X shop. Its a spray in liner for truck beds, but it works very well on lots of other applications.

But be aware, fall on it and you're going to lose some skin...its that good!

I have had to load my 1000 pound Goldwing in the rain before.. No fun thing to do.. Yes the door is slippery not not nearly as much at the diamond plate they put at the beginning of the bay door. I think the rhino shield type of coating might be the ticket that Pirate talked about. I would be very leery of anything else.

Second vote for Line-X. I had it in my last pickup truck bed. It's durable, and not slippery when wet. Make sure they remove any screws/bolts and tape off before spraying. If they spray over the screws/bolts, they'll be really hard to take out, if you need to.

Thanks, I had thought about checking with a bed liner company. I was hoping to do something myself. I will look into the paint additive mentioned above.
Thanks for the ideas and and any more that are posted.
