Priming pump.
Any tips on priming the water pump? I am trying to winterize the buggy and the pump won't suck up the antifreeze . The pump has been dry for a couple years.
Thanks a lot.

RV demand pumps don't need to be primed if they have tight connections at the intake and, for the most part, the pump head is still good. Sitting doesn't usually have an adverse affect on the pump head but it could happen.
Perhaps it's a valve not in the correct position or a loose connection somewhere. If the pump doesn't pump tank water then it's time to take a look at the pump and possibly replace same.
The pump head may have frozen at one time also.

True ... no priming required... looks like you may want to check your winterizing valves or a new pump in your future

Defiantly check valve positions first. I doubt your pump is bad unless it has frozen with fluid in it.

Try putting a small funnel in your rv antifreeze hose and hold it higher than the pump, and with the pump running pour some antifreeze into the funnel. If it the pump picks it up stick the hose in the antifreeze jug. Make sure all the faucets are closed including the outdoor shower. This has worked for me but if no luck replace the pump.

If you have a antifreeze/winterization connection, just pour some antifreeze in there & start the pump. As dougs2 shared, that process also worked for me. Only time I use the pump is to winterize.

Yes behind the wet station, open the baggage door, remove the screws holding the wall in place and pull it away you'll see the pump fastened to the floor.

Welllllll, it might be fastened to the floor, it is a Dutchman install after all.

Perhaps the year, make and model of your RV added to your signature line would be helpful.
A photo of your wet bay panel would be helpful also so someone could point you to the valve lever for which you are searching.
