Powermax boondocker converter.

Hello everyone,
Was thinking about possibly upgrading my stock converter for a new one. Sounds like these other converters are much better. Does any one have experience with this. I have 4 6 volt batteries in my 3605. Put them in before it went to dealer that has been over 4months now. If any one has any insight on this I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Brandon

I would be getting a 55A Powermax Boondocker if the WFCO converter on my TT ever goes out. Since we haven't needed quick battery charging yet thanks to our solar, I haven't found a legit reason to replace the converter since it still works. If you camp off-grid and need to recharge your batteries with a generator, then it seems like a wise upgrade to minimize generator run time.
With that big of a battery bank, it might be worth getting one of the higher amperage ones. Assuming your generator can run it.

Thank you very much. I appreciate it. We mainly always dry camp.

In that case I think the converter upgrade will be a great upgrade! Will your generator run the higher amp ones?
I hope your 4x6V batteries aren't toast from them being depleted by parasitic loads while sitting at the dealer for the past 4 months!

Im thinking it will run the higher amp ones ok. Its the Onan 5500. I'm hoping the batteries are toast as well. Other wise the dealer and I will be battling once again. I did have the battery switch off when I dropped it but who knows what has happened in the now almost 18 weeks they have had it.

The dealer still has it. Multiple issues ranging from slides not opening/closing to water leaks, broken parts. Window blew out. Total list of 15 to 20 items to be fixed under warranty. Every time something broke I advised right away to allow products to be ordered promptly so when I brought my unit in I would not be stuck in this situation. Very frustrating paying a monthly payment on something that I dont even have in my possession.
