Pomona CA Rv Show

Just got back from the Pomona CA Rv Show.
Voltage had the full 2015 lineup on display.
I noticed a few things that have changed.
About half of the trailers had Schwintec slides and the other half had cable slides.
They had a new total black out interior shades over the inside windows.
They offer a wireless camera in the garage area to watch the toys while traveling.
A new exterior skirting on lower bottom of trailer.
Some of the windows are no longer frameless style.
Exterior ladder now folds up against trailer for towing.
Finish seems a little weaker than the 2013 and 14's.

Overall they are about the same. Big turnout of people around them.
I think they said they sold 15 units the first day and half.
If Keystone now owns them it doesn't seem to be changing all that much.
Still (in my opinion) the nicest toyhauler out there.
The Heartland Cyclone is next but still not as nice.

Bet the Heartland is better built...

Yes I did look at the Grand Design toyhauler.
One of the owners/CEO of Grand Designs was the rep for Dutchmen/Voltage
when I was shopping and ordering my Voltage.
They are very similar to the Voltage, but I still like the Voltage better.
I will have to admit they do improve on some of Voltage's short comings.
They don't make any of the triple axle stuff and they are more money for the comparable size Voltage.

They do make the triple axle ones.
Momentum Fifth-Wheel Specifications | Grand Design RV

I know they are more $ for the comparable size of a Voltage.
My 34' 2003 Teton cost more than my Voltage but the workmanship shows in the price I paid.

I just saw that. I guess that's new for 2015. I didn't notice at the show . But the beer stand was close and I was on a mission.
They were 2 x8000 lbs axles and now I guess they are going to 3 x7000 lbs axles on the two bigger models.
I stand corrected.

The Grand Design is nice. They have several floor plans. On the tri axels they use 17.5" rims and tires stock w/8k pd axels. Schwinteck slide systems on bedroom slides And hhydraulic on living room slides. Going to look at one next week when I get back to Nashville.

Thanks for the heads up on the RV Show. I just so happen to be the area (on 90 miles from there) so I am going to head over tomorrow and have a look.

I am really interested in looking and Motor Homes (diesel pusher).

I made a mistake when I bought my 3905 and will be getting rid of it eventually.Too bad. It is in perfect working order and I have done so many cool mods that it is a shame to have wasted so much money. But that's the way it goes.

I have another RV that I prefer to use for hauling my toys. If get a Motor Home I will tow a Jeep or other 4X4.

I would think there are going to be better deals when all the RVs are out in Quartzsite in a couple of months.

Probably so. I don't intend on buying anything tomorrow. Just want to look at what is available. And, I am close to the show at the moment and have been looking for something to do.

Before I ever buy another RV I need to see it with the slides IN. I am not opposed to buying a low milage previously owned unit. I could even live with a single slide. In fact I am pretty sure I would prefer a single slide, maybe two. It's just me and the wife that will be using it and we do pretty well in out 8 1/2' truck camper.

Was at the show on Sunday after church. Did check out the new Voltages and the Grand Design. A couple of things I noticed was that most all of the Toyhaulers now have a step that connects to the tailgate ramp when in the tailgating position.
I asked & said it can be ordered through parts department. Cost was in the $500-600 range.
Grand Design rear table seats also came off the wall & set up free standing on the tailgate which was a nice thing. Wish I would have looked at how they did it a little closer.
