Low profile AC units, has anyone order a voltage with low profile AC units on it? I ask my dealer for the additional cost with my order, he mentioned that it was not an option. Same with heat pumps on the 15K units, I'm thinking of calling Dutchmen/Keystone for answers on Monday. I like having the heat pump when I'm on shore power.

Additional question for 3970 owners, have you installed any quick-disconnect LP fittings in your unit? I'm considering one in the garage and one in the living area for those wave heaters on cool nights. Thoughts on locations or issues.
Thanks

I've done it. Have a Wave 6 for my garage and a Wave 8 for the living area. Both heater travel together in the garage are. The Wave 8 strapped to the Wave 6. The Wave 6 is wall mounted. They both have covers not shown.

The Wave 6 by itself.

Here is the Wave 8 in the living area. The Wave 8 has legs.

They come through the walls in an access area at the bottom of my pantry. There is a tee supplying both quick connects.

Here is the tee that goes to the living area heater.

This one goes into the garage area.

I also have a quick connect for my BBQ shown here.

And the BBQ with stand.

Maybe more than you asked for.

i just looked at your floor plan. You would require a totally different installation. It could be done. Just some work.

You could bring the tee up into the area under your kitchen sink. It's either a tee like I did or two separate gas lines.

A tee would put the heater in the same proximity though. Read this thread to see how Steve did his Wave Heater.

Thanks for the photos, how long did it take you for the install? Wave 6, do they heat up the area very well? I'm going to tap into the stove line for the garage and the furnace in the living room area. I really like the outside grill option you install, I'll have to work that in also. What was your total cost for the install?

Thanks

How long???? Everything takes me a looong time. I don't remember the cost. It wasn't cheap though. Cost of fittings, quick connects, heaters, legs and covers. Probably got $800+ into it.

You will have it easier tapping into stove and heater. I know the stove is low pressure LPG. I don't know about the heater. Both need to be. Have fun. You will enjoy those heaters. I haven't used mine in any really cold weather. Just in the low 40's I ran both heater starting on high and turned them both to low maybe medium about midnight on the first run. After that the temperatures were about the same and just started on low and adjust accordingly. I wasn't trying to get in hot in the camper. Just like to have the chill removed. I guess if I wanted it hot I would have left them on high. The Wave 6 heated the garage more so than the Wave 8 in the living room. Obviously with so many more cubic feet and the bed room area involved.

I have both the Wave 6 and Wave 8. The Wave 6 does great in the garage area. I haven't tried it in the living area. It is all going to depend on how warm you want to get it and how cold it is outside.

Problem I see tapping into the stove is it is in a slide. Maybe you have it figured out already.

Has anybody looked into Cheapheat system, it allows you to select electrical or gas heat with a flip of a switch? CheapHeat

Can somebody validate if the 2014 Voltages have wet-bolts already installed in them from the manufacture? I was told they do when I asked my RV dealer for cost on the kits.

They DO NOT have wet-bolts.

I installed Never-Fail bushings on mine. See my thread on on Never-Fail bushings.

Thanks for confirming what I thought in the first place, I'll start my research on the Never-Fail bushing and add it to my things to do. What is the max load and max tire pressure on your 2014 Voltage 3950?

The GVWR is 19000. The max tire pressure is 80 psi. I recently changed out my tires to Goodyear G614 RST tires. I now run 110 psi with the new tires. See my post about my new tires.

Update - My Voltage is finished and now waiting for my dealership to schedule pick-up. I have one question concerning main awnings/slide awnings. They are adding slide awning covers as part of the deal. I've been thinking about upgrading the free covers to the slide awnings covers that have the metal protectors built in. My question, are they worth the extra cost down the road? I've been building my PDI worksheet with issues from this site, thanks to everybody for sharing your Voltage issues.

There has been a discussion on slide toppers. My opinion is don't do them. That seems to me the major consensuses. My thoughts are they would be noisy in the wind and cause other problems. Might be good it you parked under a lot a nasty, dripping trees.

Read here......http://www.dutchmenowners.org/forums...pers-1647.html

You can find more discussion on the net in other places.

As I live in the desert I would love to add the metal protection to my main awning. Out here the sun gets to the fabric & after some years you need to covering. I have it on my 03 Teton & awning still looks new. Yes it's worth it!!

I'm curious to know the status as well. I was supposed to pick up my Voltage last weekend, but I just found out today that it will be two more weeks from today before it will leave the factory. I'm well beyond not happy about the delay.

Yes, I talked with my dealer today and they are picking it up today and will have it on the lot tomorrow night. They mentioned there are 20 something units waiting to get delivered to those that ordered them. They chose to go and get it vice waiting for delivery, two week delay. I was told my unit is a 2015 unit. Hope this helps

Yes, that helps a bunch and gives me ammunition to force the hand of my dealer. Glad to see that you are going to get your Voltage this week. :-)

I asked to conduct my PDI next Thursday, hoping that gives them enough time to look over the unit and get ready for my PDI. I'm getting my list of items to together and all the necessary EQ ready for next week. I hope you get a solid answer on your delivery date. I'm going to assume the 2014 and 2015 models are the same, I've not heard of any new additions/options.

PDI list

I once saw a great PDI list for Voltage units... anyone happen to have it, or know the link to it? I'm also picking up my unit soon, and although my list is good from canvassing this forum... a master list to add my list to is optimum.
