New owner 2013 3895 epic

Will be picking up within the month, have Rv experience, and am prepared to learn the ins and outs of a new rig. First question of many I’m sure, when traveling, and pull into rest areas, or Walmart’s, or wherever, while hooked up, do I have to level to put out slides

I have camped many nights in Wal-Mart and have never leveled to put slides out. Enjoy

Thank you for the reply, I understand not wanting to level to be discreet, my question is with the schwindeck slides, do you open them when your not level, given all the issues with these slides. Thanks again, stuff

Never run Schwinteks without leveling.

Also a good idea to run the genny while moving the slides. Others have posted in the past about not running the schwinteks on battery power. I personally have never ran mine unless plugged in to shore power or generator

3wheeler - very good point. I happen to have solar and 4-6V batteries so have had no issue there

kiddstuff, I have a 3895 and I would never open a slide unless its level, The 2 main slides are big and heavy....If your just parked for the night, you can open the Bedroom slide for the night and you can use the front or rear bathrooms without opening the 2 main slides. If you need to get into the kitchen, I would level....I have had mine for almost 4years and only had one slide issue and it was the wiring....Some have had slide issues and some have said the slide was out of alignment....
