Was in the area of Vacationland here in Illinois so I stopped in to pick-up a washer to put on the back of the shower valves that General RV in Huntley, Il told me they fixed. Said they found the washer folded...Guess what i found, the SAME washer folded, unless by dumb luck they put the new washer in and folded that one also...
So I am fixing it myself!!! Talking to the parts guy as well as the in house mobile repair guy I was enlightened to a few problems...First thing they told me was to REMOVE the greaseable buddy-bearings from each axle hub and to replace them with regular grease caps. this will ensure that you check and repack the bearings once a year, and do not have the chance to keep pumping grease into these bearings and blowing out the rear grease seal and compromising your brakes by getting flung grease all over them!!! The second thing was next to the main bed, both sides, in the side cabinets, there is a 1/4" thick piece wood that is supposed to be attached to the front cap, but there is a 4" gap behind this piece of wood and it could become detached from the front cap and he says that it is structural for the front cap!!! WTF I have not checked yet, but I will be soon and he said it was as simple as pushing on this piece of wood and seeing if it is loose! Finally he said to take a level and go onto the roof to see if the roof around the main A/C is "Bird bathing"...I.E. sagging around the main A/C. Said that an indicator was the collapsed filter vents for the main A/C unit. To check, place a long level across the roof in different directions near the main A/C unit to check for sagging.
