Light switch for???

Okay, I give up. In our 3970 I have a light switch that I have no idea what it goes to. It is the second from the left in the main bank of light switches in the wall control panel.
These are the interior light switches just below the tank heater switches.

Any ideas?

On my 3990, that switch turns on the lights in the loft.

I have one that it took 6 months to figure out. It was the light over the stove. During the day it was to dim to see it. Accidentally left if on one night and finally figured it out.

Great... I will check the loft. I think that is the only one I haven't tested.
Thanks!

My wireless remote controls the decorative LED awning light; same as my master control for slides and awnings.

I have a switch for the led awning lights. Wonder if I leave it on the remote will control them? Will have to go to storage to check this week.

My remote controls my slide outs, my awning, and will control the front curbside exterior light. I guess it makes a little sense, as I can turn off my lights when I leave, and if I take the remote with me, I can turn on a light near the front door as I'm walking up. I doubt I'd ever use it that way, but maybe someone would find that useful.

Should work just like the panel.

My remote works slides, awnings, and the factory had the security light above my utility hook up acess (between bedroom and living room slides). I have since change changed the remote to operate an interior light above entry door.
As for the mystery switch, have you checked the useless under step lights?

Thom - please share how you were able to change the light. I'm sure it would be just as easy to add a function to the Linc remote?

Thom,

That's my thought...we were in the same spot with our Epic 3800.

One suggestion is to wait until dark, then turn off all the light switches except that "one" and go looking around the outside of the trailer.

There are ramp lights, under step lights, exterior lights on the sides, a light in the wet cabinet...and on, and on. But in the dark they're pretty easy to identify.

Just thoughts...

Aztex....The second switch is for the loft...as I think you have by now suspected. We also discovered that the ceiling light in the pantry comes on when the lights over the loveseat are turned on. Odd, but true.

I don't recall the actual step by step process but I do remember that I cut the wire going to the connection for the light (terminal 4 I think) on the remote controller board and spliced in the light I wanted.
Yes it probably would have been just as easy to add the function but I hadn't read the manual at that point to know things were able to be added to it.

You cannot add another "light" function to the linc remote. The light function is the only function on the linc system that works with a "push on/push off" activation. All the other functions you have to hold the button down for them to work. You could probably make it work by adding some latching relays and creative wiring but that would be the only way.

I have not tested it, but apparently you can add functions to the remote, provided your controller has available spaces

You can add other functions like slides, jacks, awnings etc. that require you to hold the button down the whole time. You could put a light on one of the spare functions but it would only work as long as you were holding down the button. The controller only has one space that will work properly for a light. Push the button, light comes on. Push again, light goes off.
