Level Jack Hydraulic Seal Replacement

The landing gear on my 3605 has started to leak. Has anyone replaced the seals? Based on what I have researched so far, LCI recommends replacement. At $550 each, that is an expensive option. I have a hydraulic shop 10 miles from where I live. Seems like it would be easy enough to hook up and remove the front landing piston and take to them for a rebuild. Thoughts?
