LED Bulbs

I know this topic has been discussed and I tried to us the search function to find so i didn't need to start another - obviously I failed thus this post....

I want to replace all the standard bulbs in our 2014 3895 with LED and want the brightest possible for battery life and light quality.
I pulled the bulbs in our trailer and it appears there are just two types used throughout. I am having trouble getting the numbers off the bulbs themselves.
One series of numbers from one bulb is 921 / 12v18W - so I will presume this is a 921 bulb - simple enough.
There are so many options when I search, I'm a little confused what to order...
The other bulb was more challenging to get a number that I can find in a search
64-20w or G4-20w and different bulbs come up for both when searching

Can anyone that has done this tell me the correct bulb numbers as well as where you found the best source to purchase?

Thanks in advance!

Let me try to help. Your are correct in than there are two different bulb mounting bases. I'll give you links you decide.

You will have the choice of Cool White or Warm White. I went with Warm White after see what the Cool White look like. The Cool White are a more harsh/blue color.

The LED lighting is not going to be as bright as what you have now. I think that is better in almost every area. The show is an area that is not bright enough but most people know there own anatomy so they get by.

Links below for interior lighting. I use Amazon.

These bulbs have to be inserted one way. If when you plug it in and it doesn't work. Pull it out and turn in 180 degrees.

LEDwholesalers T10 LED 194 Wedge base, Dash Board or Dome Light Bulbs 12v DC 15 SMD LED 1.44 Watt 105 Lumen Warm White, 1415WW : Amazon.com : Automotive

On these bulbs I had to take a pair of wire cutters and clip shorter about 1/8" of the little metal prongs.

LEDwholesalers Tower Type G4 12v Ac/dc 15 LED Holagen Bulb Replacemnt for Rv Camper Trailer Boat Marine 1.44 Watt 105 Lumen Warm White 1411ww - Amazon.com

These are for your exterior lighting. I used these for my security and rear ramp area.

The Brightest Ba15s LED Light Bulb Replacement - Warm White Color - 2nd Generation with 66 LED's - Single Contact Base - 10-30V DC : Amazon.com : Automotive

And these above my entry doors. Although the bulbs above might have been a better choice for the entry door areas.

The Brightest Ba15s LED Light Bulb Replacement - Warm White Color - 2nd Generation with 66 LED's - Single Contact Base - 10-30V DC : Amazon.com : Automotive

I'm sure others will post with there opinion on cool as opposed to warm color light. I just preferred the warm. Doesn't mean I'm right.

The LED lighting uses almost zero battery power.

Good Luck
Arlan

I changed all the bulbs in my Aerolite to LED. Mine are all the 921 bulbs and while I prefered the warm white in my house (they are all done as well) I couldn't pass up the deal on these natural white units:

2 sets of Gold Stars 92111802-02 LED Replacement Light Bulb 921/T15 Wedge base 120 Lumens 12v or 24v Natural White : Amazon.com : Automotive

12 sets of Gold Stars 92111802-12W LED Replacement Light Bulb 921/T15 Wedge base 120 Lumens 12v or 24v Natural White : Amazon.com : Automotive

I was surprised to find that the two bunk lights already had LED bulbs in them so I put them outside as well.

My wife didn't notice I made the switch (they don't have a blue tint to me) and they have lasted good so far. I ordered them in September and they got two trips of usage, plus the occasional use now that it is stored for winter. Only time will tell but at this point I like them. You can see the difference in light on my mod post:

Good luck!

Thanks for the replies - I noticed that most of the bulbs indicate around 1.2 to 1.4 watts.
I saw some 12v in Loews or Home Depot over the weekend that were 2 & 2.5 watts, though I also believe lumens may have more to do with the brightness when it comes to LED???

While not sure if possible, I would like to maximize brightness as well as save on battery life...

With two of the tradition camper lights(4 bulbs) on I could hear the fan for the converter come on. With the led lights, I can turn on every single light in the trailer (30 led bulbs) and the fan does not come on. That to me says a lot.

Me too. I can turn on just two or three halogen bulbs and the fan comes on. I have been amazed at the difference. My battery bank holds up much, much longer now that I have LED's and a Catalytic heater.

I thought this was a pretty good article that might help someone to pick the right LED bulb

Twist the glass cover ¼ turn counter-clockwise... the bulb will be exposed.
