Leaky Window

'15 Voltage 3905-We recently noticed the back (of course-largest window) garage window has a small leak when it rains hard. I have read where the frameless Windows need to be resealed and reset? Has it happened to anyone else? And is this something you would attempt to fix on your own vs. taking to a dealer?

Welcome to the forum, Shelly.

Have a look at the window, there should be some weep holes in the frame. If the window has been installed with holes on the top of the frame vs the bottom, you will get water into the wall cavity.

Windows aren't a difficult job to re & re, but I would be pursuing a warranty claim. Just a CYA thing, if you take the window out and find a bigger problem, you have just given Dutchmen all they need to deny a claim if you take it in after.

I had a leak in one of my tall vertical windows in the garage. I ended taking all the screws out of the inside frame and popped the window out. I found that there was a section that lack a seal. I bought a new seal from Lowe's (cannot remember how wide) and re-installed the window, no problems since. If I did it all over again, I would have used Butyl tape...

Had the same issue with two garage windows. While on the road I sealed around the outside trim with silicone only to have the problem continue....turned out the leaks were caused due to the roof not sealed correctly from the factory. Had the roof re-sealed and all is well. Another example of Dutchmen workmanship....
