JT's Strong Arm Jack Stabilizers

Has anyone with a larger Voltage installed these?

JT's Strong Arm Jack Stabilizers

Are they worth putting on? I have read on other sites that people love them, but have yet to see anything on a larger toyhauler with them.

Here's an install/review from Tom Glander (who has a pretty sweet website for Voltage fans).

I use them but I dont install them perminately because I worry about low ground clearance in back. I also use a tripod on the king pin.

JT Strongarms

I have a Voltage 3200 and I installed them myself. The installation was not fun but they do work very.

Thanks - I have seen his site and chatted with Tom before. He has electric jacks though. Mine are hydraulic and wonder if they will help on these.

We had them on an Outback Bunkhouse travel trailer before. They were pretty spot on, the kids could be throwing down WWF style in the back and it was nearly rock steady in the front. I installed them myself...took about three hours and a broken nose (long story for another day).

We have been contemplating getting them for the Voltage, unsure how they would attach with the auto level jacks though.

Cale - I have the lugs that get welded onto the foot at the bottom of the jack. Not sure when I will get the time to tackle this one, but will post pics when I do. On another note, do we need to start a new thread about injuring ourselves as we do these mods? LOL

I have hydraulic levelers and use the steadyfast stabilizers. They work great and stay with the trailer. Go to their website and take a look. Installation was easy and only takes 1-2 minutes to use each time we set up or tear down. I highly recommend.

Not a bad idea! My accident happened while installing the Strongarms on my scissor jacks. After I had one side installed, I was using the drill attachment for my scissor jacks to lower them for a quick op check. Someone was talking to me during this step, I absent mindedly put the drill up without checking direction of rotation or the torque setting and with my face under the trailer, next to the jack, I took a full swing torqued battery pack to the face. I saw a lot of stars...and an obstructed nasal cavity, which I ended up having surgery for...

Lesson learned, I should have just stopped instead of pressing on...which I do while setting up camp or breaking down, I always hate having people trying to talk to me during those two evolutions.

Camping with a Raptor beside me with what I'll will call a low boy frame. His level up on the front jacks is so much lower. No holes under the frame. He and I talked and pushed on each other's rigs. His does not move. I am thinking of making a back plate and bolt it top to bottom. It should get rid of most movement . No messing with anything

That sounds promising as well - snap a pic?

First two are mine, second two are his. I was thinking that what would be needed is two peices. One that acts a a spacer on the bottom four holes same size steel as the frame supports. Then one more that would the entire length top to bottom bolted together Click image for larger version
