Is the 44' legth an issue?

We are seriously considering the Voltage 3990. I do seasonal work and we travel all over the country. I am just curious if finding spots for the 44' trailer is much of an issue? We are usually staying in metro area rv parks.

I suppose you will get different answers on this one. I have a 3905 and at 42' long I find I have locked myself out of allot of the places I used to go. I have also found several RV parks that can not accommodate long rigs. There are still numerous places I can go and I am always looking for new spots.

If I had it to do over again, well I would go a different route.

Casey,
Our unit is 39 feet long and although I would like it to be shorter we love the floorplan. So far we have always been able to find a spot, but I do know that the longer lengths will restrict you. The best thing is to call ahead as early as possible to get a reservation (esp during busy times).

Most newer parks can take units that long. There was a local National Park site I just fit in at 33' with my Teton. Don't any more with my Voltage. Most KOa's will take units of the size you are looking at.

Mine is 41' and I have to really check out the RV parks we stay at to make sure we have enough length. So far no issue with the parks we've stayed at.

I was planning a San Diego trip for June and found the park spaces on Mission Bay were only 40' long. Did a Google map check and saw the spaces really were short. Found a camp in Chula Vista with 55' spaces and made the reservation there. You just gotta do your homework with these long rigs.

I find the sights fit the camper, but then have to park the truck elsewhere, to stay off of the grass with tow vehicle. Not all but some.
