Interior lights flickering/ not working

Hey there we have a 2015 voltage v 4000 and the ceiling lights are giving me grief sometimes they flicker off and on or run dull and I’ve also noticed when I go to switch the light on over the sink it seems to affect the lights as well. Thinking it’s a bad ground but where do you start looking?
Thanks

Chasing electrical gremlins can be a pain but they can be found. Start at the battery and work your way through the system. Check for loose wires on buss bars or other connections. Check the connections on the converter and fuse panel. It goes on but you'll figure it out, if not just ask.

Is this a constant thing? Intermittent problems are a pain. Are there any other 12 VDC devices acting up? Like the radio/dvd player? Smoke sensors? USB ports?

If not then concentrate on the lighting.

Our converter has a red indicator for blown fuses. See if yours is flickering along with the lites? That will tell you the problem is before the fuse.

Replace the fuse. Even if it shows good. Wiggle it around. Slap the walls.............

Good luck. "lectric" is so much fun.

The only connection I have seen is the under sink light will dim or cause the ceiling lights to flicker when I turn it on also. Everything has been working fine the last couple of days now but we are also occasionally having an issue with the bedroom slide not working.

Sounds like you may have more issues than lites, if your slide is acting up.

You probably need to do what sundancer 87 said above. Start at the battery and work you way up. Get a Volt meter if you don't have one. Does not have to be expensive. In fact a cheap analog one is better for intermittent problems than a fancy digital. Harbor Freight had them free with coupon. I think I have about 5 of them.

Try these links if your not certain how to go about this. Probably a lot better ones available. The internet is your friend.

I searched YOUTUBE for: "troubleshooting rv dc electrical problems "
Got lots of useful info.

Good Luck.

I would look for a bad or loose ground somewhere!

Before our converter went out for good, the lights would periodically flicker. I chased grounds and wiring connectors all over the place but when I finally replaced the converter, all was well again. I hope your solution is less expensive.

I had a similar problem with my lights when my trailer was new. The problem was the ground to the frame of the trailer. It was broken but still made some contact.
