Insulating Garage Floor

Has anybody insulated their garage flooring? I use it as an extra room when parked and storage when traveling. I looked under the belly closely yesterday and noticed zero insulation. I'm sure the flooring has zero insulation between the frame and the floor.

Thinking about dropping gas tanks and adding spray foam under the floor. We also use as an extra room.

Dropped the gas tanks yesterday and cut away all the plastic material under the garage. Insulator said it will not adhere very well to the plastic. Tomorrow the insulator will be here to spray the bottom. Having my house joist bonds insulated so I had him check it out while he was here.... $125 to spray it. Laid down some plywood to work off of. Should make it a lot more comfortable and quieter as well. My son sleeps back there, and he will have a new brother this July to share it with soon enough.

Insulator did a fine job getting everything I wanted covered with foam. A good inch and half to two inches everywhere.

Very cool! How difficult was it to drop the tanks? I have a different reason but need to drop them.

Not difficult at all. Both were near empty. I stacked two milk crates at each end with a 2x4 across each, that gave me enough room to lower one end at a time and have enough room to slide them out of the way. Just a matter of removing 4 hose clamps and the wires from each. Hosea were very easy on and off.

Good luck.
