I-95 Maine Bridge Clearances

I'm heading up to Maine next week and I see quite a few of the overpasses on I-95 are 13'6". I think I read where that is the height of my 3605. Has anyone had any issues in that area? I think I'm going to get the ladder out to measure exactly, but I was wondering if those overpasses are exactly 13 6?

Watch out, sometimes they resurface the road and don't cut down the old stuff enough….I have a V3895 and its 13'6"…..

I don't think the "official" height of the unit takes into account the AC or vents. I'm going to measure mine as it is a concern I have. Also, how much clearance is acceptable. A foot, two feet....?

As mentioned earlier, the height may vary due to resurfacing of the road. However, that measurement is the smallest clearance under the bridge, which most often times, is at the outer edges of the road. Just be sure you are on the road and not cruising down the shoulder and you should be fine...

Also, the published height should be inclusive of any appendages sticking up or out (if talking width). That can change though if you went to a larger tire, flipped the axles, tow nose up, etc....

I'm leaving in about 5 minutes to pick up my TT. I had the axles flipped. I'll definitely be measuring the ht. You have a 98 gallon aux tank. That's impressive. Years ago when I hade a pickup I bought a 50 gallon aux tank. I thought that was impressive. Is your tank mounted just in the bed or do you have some in fender tanks?

Official measurement on mine was 13'4". I did not measure that. I added G' which are 1" in diameter larger. So it added 1/2" to my height. My current measured height, hooked up. Front and rear AC is 13'4 3/4 and 13' 4 1/2
I follow the truck routes. Programmed GPS along with a quick check with the motor carriers guide.

I love having it back there. With the Voltage hooked up, the tank full of fuel, plus people in the truck, we are at our max GVWR, 14k lbs. It works very nicely, auto transfers and all... It is mounted in the bed, 2 ft wide, I still have 6 ft of bed space left.
