Hydraulic Leveler Tank Damp

I have a 2015 3305 with auto jacks. As I was modifying some battery stuff I noticed the hydraulic reservoir was damp and dampness on the shelf beneath. I don't notice any major fluid loss and can't easily determine where the fluid is coming from as the whole tank seems damp. I can't believe this is normal....any suggestions?

Damp is probably normal, but if you have a drip, something is wrong. I've worked around hydraulic systems my entire adult life and the motto is: If it ain't leaking, the tank is empty. I've seen brand new $1.5mil mining equipment that couldn't be unloaded from transport until the lube buggy got there to fill it up. I would do the obvious, check the cap for tightness, check oil level with all the cylinders/jacks retracted to make sure your not overfill, and check for any obvious loose connections. I don't know your mechanical level of expertise, but DO NOT look for leaks by putting your hand by it. If you inject hyd oil under your skin, you will not be a happy camper, and probably be enjoying a lengthy stay at the hospital. Use a piece of cardboard or paper.

it could be residue from a previous sloppy fill or overfill.

It's not overfill. I wiped the tank and the shelf until they were fairly dry and discovered they were damp again after about a week. Have not used the jacks since I discovered this...it is sitting on the front landing jacks though.

Update: took it to the dealer for some warranty work and they advised it was the seal between the tank and the pump. Will replace when the part comes in.
