Hooking Up Cable/Satellite

In the outside service bay, the cable-in connection, where does that connection go within the toyhauler? We've tried to hook up cable and our Dish satellite to that connection, but it didn't work. We've had success connecting the Dish satellite directly to the TV (through the window). Any suggestions on how to correct this? Thanks in advance for your help.

Satellite and cabling

Attached is a photo of how ours worked. Make sure the TV antenna booster switch is off.

Every unit is a little different, but this should help.

on your booster panel, the back side with all coax connections are labelled on the circuit board, the one labeled cable is the one you have to work with, I removed it and connected it to another double coax plate I installed in the cabinet, so the coax I removed from the booster goes to the top plug on the second plate, and goes to the sat in on the receiver, the sat out from the receiver goes back to the new plate bottom plug and then back to the booster. You can still watch on air tv if you turn on the booster, then turn off the booster to watch satellite. If you are in a camp with cable, plug the new panel together with a short jumper and cable comes through as normal. I can attach a photo if needed

The top plate is the addition, the top coax is the sat in from dish to receiver, bottom coax is from receiver to the booster which goes to the TV's. The cigarette lighter cord is the power to the shaw direct receiver, not HD and its power cord was 110volt with an inline transformer to reduce to 12 volt, so I chopped off the transformer and butt connected a cigarette plug and now watch tv with out genset or shore power, the tv also has its own 500watt inverter to run the tv and watch while boon docking
