Free Camping world mod

I guess the folks at camping world must have seen SOONERNATION's post about the damage his unit received from the gravel truck and decided that the extra flow through ventalation is a much needed mod for toy haulers.
We took our week old unit back to have slide toppers installed and have the 20+ items we found on our PDI fixed. After a week of not hearing any updates from them I called yesterday. The service advisor ran through the status of each item on the PDI list and was about to hang up when I asked when we could pick it today and they replied "we won't have your window in by then".
Excuse me? What window???????
"Oh, nobody called you about the window we broke"
NO!
Their story is they parked another unit too close to ours and extended the slide on it, and the hardware on other slide went right through the window.
And of course Dutchmen shut down for the holiday season and it will take forever to get the window.
The part that has us upset the most is that if I had not called for an update I believe they would have tried to fix it and not have mentioned it to us at all because from what I have been able to find out it happened on Wednesday and we called on Saturday for the update.

If it is a true story, they probably knocked both slides out of alignment.

Similar true story...

Last year I left my Torque TH at Camping World for minor repairs one tailgate weekend and was going to pick it up wo weeks after on the Friday before the next game.

I called the service department that morning to let them know what time I'd be there and they offered to have it washed and ready to go when I arrived. On the drive up I got a call from the service manager and he admitted that my entry steps had been bent while they were moving my trailer and ask'd if I could delay picking up the trailer by a couple of hours to give them time to make the repairs.

We stopped for lunch and ran by the store for supplies. When we got to the dealership the trailer was ready to go and I couldn't tell if there was ever a problem. The only way they pulled that off was to take a set of steps off a new trailer and bolt them on mine.

I still do business with that store to date.

If you hadn't asked about picking it up that day, I bet they wouldn't have said anything about it.

Ya'll are probably right!!!

There is more to the story... I took the trailer to this Camping World over 100 miles from home (It was on the way to tailgating so it wasn't too much trouble) after being on a waiting list for over 6 months at my local Heartland dealer. (That I didn't buy the trailer from???)

Camping World worked me in on a weeks notice for a small warranty issue.

Just an update..... CW is still waiting on the window they had to order from Dutchman/heartland.
I tossed out a little statement telling them I thought that it would be a great goodwill jesture on their part if they picked up my payment for the month since it was there through their negelect.... I think that fell on deaf ears so time to start drafting a letter to CW corporate.

My insurance claim finally got approved. I asked the dealer how long it would take to repair and he said 3 weeks for the two windows, privacy shade and couch with install . I'm just hoping we have it by spring.
