Factory Warranty about to run out!

Next month "February 2015" my warranty runs out. Throughout the year I've taken care of most all the minor issues myself leaving a couple towards the end. One of them was a leaking front hydraulic jack, the other a cargo door up front not sealing properly allowing water intrusion into the compartment.

Notified dealer, they ordered jack, I brought the unit in and they replaced. They also adjusted the compartment door. Also had them check a few other things I had on the list. Its been two weeks jack seems to be fine, water leak worse than what it was! Guess I'll have to fix that myself. :-(

Point of all this, been a pretty good year with it. Several thousand miles no major issues. Thats a good thing. Of course I may be singing a different song next time out... A reminder, if your dealer/factory warranty is fixing to expire... do a good walk through and return to dealer to get repaired if needed, especially major items. After that, your on your own unless you have an extended warranty plan. And I'm not sure how good those plans are.

We've had our 240BHSL for close to 2 years now. All of our "major" problems happened pretty early on (factory warranty). Cracked black tank and a water leak at the back of the toilet topped out list. We did purchase an extended warranty and just the other day the microwave stopped working. I called the extended warranty company and explained to them we are in a campground in California (we live in Colorado) and need to have a mobile tech come out. They said no problem at all, have him call us and we'll set up the repair. Our deductible is $100. I'll know by Friday if it's really going to be this easy??

I am at the end of my warranty here next month. I did get an after market one. I am painfully waiting on approval from dutchmen on my front cap. Gotta see a local dealer here tomorrow so they can yet more info on it. Been denied twice. There reasoning is "it had been run into". Funny, just a crack, no scratches, impact point , nothing. The only things that's touched that is bugs, rain, and wind. I too have the leak in one of my compartments. Gasket is put together with the seam at the top with a small gap. New one is on the way.
