Epic 3 package and option list Voltage

I know there is a lot of posts on what is the Epic 3 package and the fact they come out with new items just as they document what the old ones are. I just received this from my Dealer yesterday, so I guess we should be expecting the Epic 4 package to come out now?

LED puck lights (mine are halogen)
Sony sound bar (mine is Samsung, no Bluetooth)
6 point hydraulic leveling (mine is 6 point electric)

It's funny the extremes they go to to make a long list. 'We'll give you a water heater bypass' valve too!!!

As if the water heater doesn't come with it.

One day maybe we can come up with the owner's REAL epic package list.

Yes, it is a long list. I am not sure what Epic Package I have. Unit is a 2013 Voltage 3905. I seem to have just about everything on that list.

I've been trying to figure out what the difference is between Epic 3 & just regular Epic Package. Anyone know?

Good luck with that. I think its whatever they happen to have left laying around. Even their production cutover from different years are inconsistent and not well documented.

The Epic III is on top of the regular Epic Package...
I bought a 3895 last month and compared the two trailers
side by side with and without the Epic III Package

Aside from the $5,000 higher price,
The obvious differences in the Epic III...

Upgraded SS stove, microwave & fridge (like way upgraded)
Sony sound bar, blue ray player & 50 inch TV (top of the line)
Heated recliners w/ LED lighting (eeeh)
Remote control for awnings & slides (open slides while outside)
LED awning lights w/ remote (my wife likes this cheesy option)
Knee high diamond plate in garage
Kenwood stereo w/ bluetooth & DVD player in garage (way nice)

Some things you can't see...

Two 40 gallon fuel tanks???
that's what the brochure says, I think it's a 30 & 40.
(Figured I can go 5 days on the generator, Bonnaroo!!!)
lockbox (don't own a gun)
WiFi Ranger (have an AT&T hotspot)

My signature tells my choice...

Mike
Lay down under the fuel tanks & they will have the size on a tag. On my V3605 front is 30 & rear is 20 gal. My standard Epic PKG in the V-series had the lock box, heated recliners with LED, knee high diamond plate & the LED lights under the awning also.

Thanks DesertRat I found the tags on the sides by the fill hose.

My front pump tank is 40 gallons & the rear generator tank is 30 gallons.

That is almost triple the 25 gallon tank in my old TH, which I would run dry on a long weekend.
So if I still had to carry gas cans like in the old portable generator days,
what was the point of having an Onan onboard???

In 80/90 degree temps running 2 AC's my generator has a 1/2 gallon burn rate per hour,
that would give me six days of fuel. That's a longgg weekend!!!

I use mine to back out of storage, now I don't have to take DW. I store the monitor behind the back seat and take it out when needed.

The monitor hooks up to the 12v outlet on your dash, it has a suction cup to mount it but I just set it on the armrest.

The picture is good and it even has sound, I can always hear the wind blowing. I need to adjust the camera to get a better view, mine was installed pointing almost straight down so I can only see about 10 feet behind the trailer, but it does seem to give you a good peripheral view.

I've used mine a few times but it's not on the 'blast off' list. I find that when reversing nothing beats a good ole walk around site survey. The camera will give you a view back there but the site survey will reveal your target marks, show you side obstacles and give you a more real feel of what's behind you.

My camera has crapped out on me. Apparently there is not a good seal on the cable going into the top of it and water was allowed inside. I can see condensation on the inside of the glass.

My camera has crapped out also. I don't even see a way to remove it since the cable goes into the roof. There are no traces of wiring on the inside wall of where the camera is mounted, so I am considering cutting the wire and splicing in a weatherproof quick connect if I'm able to get it working again. There should only be two wires (+ and -) in the cable for power since the signal is wireless.

Don't forget the audio wire. The audio and video has to lead to a transmitter somewhere where it transmits wirelessly to the receiver built into the monitor. The transmitter might be inside the camera head but who knows.

I'm sure Dutchmen has used different model cameras on different RV's, however on mine the antenna is built into the camera head. Thanks for the reminder though!

Hmmm...just got our Epic III 3800. As explained at the RV show and time of order...for 2014 the only option was the V series or an Epic III.

Have to admit, I would have upgraded to the Epic III anyway...

The only option we didn't get is the patio on the ramp. Did get the sliding patio doors instead of the pull down screen.

I'll also admit, its going to take a little time to figure everything out...

Sony home theatre system...sound bar above the living area TV, where's the subwoofer?

Kenwood stereo in the garage...where are all the speakers?

There are speakers with the "outdoor entertainment center"...but are they just for the TV or the Kenwood stereo as well?

Well got the month of June at home, then 10 days in Taylor Park, CO
