Cleaning the Garage Floor ?
Howdy,
What is the best way to clean the garage floor? I used a rag mop & bucket with some Simple Green and was left with fuzz all over the place from the mop head. The texture on the floor is pretty rough and the mop didn't work very well snagging and leaving a copious amount of fuzz behind. The floor was a little cleaner but not clean enough afterwards (not to mention the fuzz). What’s the secret to getting it clean?
Thanks,
B.T.

I use Simple Green and a scrub brush, then I dry with a rag to finish it off. Works great and safe for the dog and cats.

Deck brush (scrub brush with a handle) then and old fashioned rag mop to dry.

Try a micro fibre mop. It's the only type of mop we use now, it does snag or shed even on rougher surfaces. No more buckets required, we use a spray bottle to dampen the surface, scrub and allow to dry. Most of the time it's just water, but if the floor is heavily soiled a little Simple Green in the bottle does the job.
This one has a combination wet/dry mop pad, we use single application pads and swap them out for the job. When they get dirty, they go in the washer with the jeans.

There is also a version with a refillable solution bottle "Wet Jet" style, DW likes this one.

Clean it with the cleaner of your choice and dry it with the leaf blower.

I use a heavy bristle push broom & good old soap & water. Don't need to dry with anything living here in the desert. Should be in the upper 80's today.

Hmmm...I keep trying to get my wife to use a bristle brush to scrub the floor...but I've quit as the bruises on the side of my head take too long to heal.

Hmmmm....softer brush that's an idea. Might be a little easier on my elbows when I'm on my hands and knees scrubbing the garage floor!

Cleaning the Garage Floor ?
I probably should not do this, because I know there is OSB plywood underneath... But I raise my front jacks and spray it out with a garden hose after scrubbing it down with a long handled stiff brush and pine sol.

Sounds about how I do mine. I did drill small holes in the rear table leg holders to allow water to drain out.

If it's bad, I use diluted muaritic (sp wrong) diluted with water and a stiff long handles brush, then flush with plenty of water and let it dry or use a leaf blower to dry.
