Changing oil in genset?

Trying to change oil in genset opened valve and no oil came out. Tried blowing air up drain tube to make sure it was open pressurized from dipstick opening to try and get oil to dump and still nothing, the drain tube is barely dripping ran for thirty minutes before opening valve so oil is very hot as well????????

Pour a little new oil in the fill tube. If it comes out the bottom, you were nearly out of oil!

Wow, sounds like you may be out of oil....does the dipstick register or can you see oil?

Same thing happened with the Onan 5500 in our 2951. Opened the petcock and no oil came out. I took a stiff piece of copper wire and inserted it up the rubber exit tube and wiggled it around. Apparently there was something blocking the tube because the oil started flowing well after that.
