Central Vac

We have a Dirt Devil central vac system on our 3305. The motor runs but we can't get any suction. Any suggestions on what we need to do to get it to work? Thanks.

Does the floor dustpan portion work? When my new 3305 was delivered, the dustpan worked with suction, but not the hose. I took off the faceplate and found the factory had installed the "tee" from the central motor to the dustpan but ailed to install the hose that connects the "tee" to the face plate where the hose connects. Pull the faceplate and check it out.

I would agree. Open the wall in the storage compartment and check out all the connections, I would bet one of them is not connected. We also had the same issue with the bag, it was laying in the bottom of the box in its original package.

Our 3990 had a piece of styrafoam wedged into the "dustpan" portion of our Dirt Devil. Pulled it out and worked fine. Ours also had no bag installed. Works fine now. Captain Dan's suggestion of taking the plate off, as well as checking the bag area should take care of your issue.

Thank you for the suggestions. It ended up being a loose connection in the compartment in the outside pass through. Thanks again for the help!

I think i'm to late, but since you had the wall open, you could have moved the Vac from out in the middle of the storage area to under the stairs, next to the storage Door….More room
