Black and Gray Water Tank Valves

2015 Voltage 3818 - Having issues and wanted to see if others are having any of these issues with Voltage. 6 months old and black tank valve was leaking, I decided to go with electric valves. While waiting for shipment of valves, the black tank valve handle broke off. Now The rear valve that dumps the kitchen tank, well it is not opening at all. Seems that the cable came loose but it does not feel like it. Anyone have issues with tank valves and the controlling cables. These valves are hidden by the bottom seal, so to even check, you have to remove nearly the whole bottom. Very frustrating for this to happen on a new coach.

Almost everyone has the same problem. Cables are too long, routed wrong, etc. and get kinked. Some people cut the fiber bottom and re-tape, while others grind or knock off factory installed connectors and remove whole sections. Past posts address this, as well as numerous others who have replaced their valves and can give you a more complete response. Good call on the electrics. On my list as well. Good luck.

does anyone know the location of the kitchen drain valve on the 3818, if I have to open the bottom, i'd like to get close to the spot I need to be in without removing large portions of the bottom and searching. Thanks

I have the same problem, where is the valve located?

On the 3818, that kitchen drain valve is right above the front axle on the left (drivers) side about 18inches in from the I beam. If you follow the 1 1/2" drain line where it goes up, it goes straight up and they have an elbow and then the flange for the valve. So open it from the point the pipe goes up into the bottom and cut right toward the right side of the RV about 12 inches and you will have plenty of room
