beds moving in travel

I went out to my trailer yesterday and noticed the bed in the back of garage (and the couch underneath) had both come down about a foot, I dont know if moved in travel or if someone pushed the button but they were down from the ceiling about a foot. I know they sell the pins to hold it up but have never seen one actually move.. is this normal?

Normal... no, but not unheard of either.

It has happened on occasion, and at times causing damage to the toys underneath. That's why using the pins is recommended.

Upper bunk gets pinned. I've never seen pins in the lower couch/bed. You can also double check that the motor brake is on. If that's not on, they will defiantly come down. Brake is a lever on the motor. Assuming yours are Happi Jack, check their website if you didn't get a manual.

If you ever need to manually operate them, you can crank them up/down with a ratchet after releasing the motor brake. Not easy cranking up, and they will tend to start to drop on their own if you don't hold pressure. Put the brake back on when done.
