Backup Camera on Voltage 3805

Howdy,

Anyone here have any recommendations for a quality backup camera that will transmit a good signal the 45' or so from the rear of the fifth-wheel to the monitor in my F350? Also, has anyone wired one on the Voltage? If so, where did you put it and how did you wire it? Thanks.

-Will

My factory Furion camera and monitor works great that came with the trailer, overall i am 63' long but from camera to monitor is probably 58' the dealership told me there is a signal booster in the trailer to send a stronger signal more forward the camera is hot wired into the clearance lights on the trailer so they have to be on when using camera, just my 2 cents worth

I use the PEAK 4.3. My RV is 37 plus truck is 20'. I have strong, very strong signal even when I pull forward.

If you're so inclined... I use a Garmin BC-30 camera in conjunction with my Garmin RV770 GPS unit. The advantages are you have an RV-dedicated GPS, and no need for an additional monitor sitting on your dash... and if you want multiple cameras, up to 4 can be paired up.

The camera signal is STRONG. Mine is wired for constant power... and even when unhitched I begin receiving video over ¼ mile away from the rig whenever I'm coming back to the campground, or leaving.
