True. I admit. I even took the same route with one of my trucks.

However, I still don't get to climb up into that wicked badazz truck he got.

I am anxious to give it a try. Hitch is on it's way. The truck came all set up to receive a specific hitch. Hopefully I can sell my Superglide hitch.
Thanks again for all the help.

I put firestone air bags on my 2016 F350 dually to help level out the truck while towing my 3950.
I got the wireless remote system. I couldn't be more happy with it.

Thanks Hudsonfrog,
You got me thinking with your numbers as I also have a 2500 Dodge Ram 6.7. CCSB
I went to the Dodge site and checked with their numbers
6.7L CUMMINS DIESEL. A6 68RFE
3.42 Axle Ratio
9,900 GVW
2,590. Payload
4,444 Weight front
2,866. Rear weight UNLOADED.
6,000 GAW rear
25,300 GCVW
17,510 Max Towing
Looks like I will be fine with the 2,500 lb pin weight and the tires I plan on using. "economical" Load range E tires come in around 3860 Lbs each for a weight rating.

Simple rule.

If you have 6 tires on your trailer, you need 6 tires on your truck.

Firestone air bags (55 psi) with remote, love,um.

We have a 2015 F350 4WD and pull a 2017 Voltage 3805. I installed the Firestone air bags and a front end leveling kit. When I weighed it on a scale the weight on the stock rear wheels and tires exceeded the recommended weight by 350lbs per side. I ended up replacing the wheels and tires to accommodate the extra weight. Remember it’s not just the tires that have a weight limit. It was difficult finding nice wheels to accommodate the extra weight but I found some that have a 4500lbs capacity. Our truck pulls the weight fine and I don’t notice any drifting in the front end. I run the air bags at about 50psi but that may be different with your truck.

no, you have 2590# Payload total on the truck. You have 2500# pin weight. That leaves room for 90#. How many people, fuel, tool box etc? You are outside of the mfgs suggested weight ratings for the truck.

Also to add. Airbags do not increase the vehicles specified weight ratings. So if you are already over adding airbags does not add capacity to your truck.
