AC on with heater

Had the 2012 Rubicon at a real plugin campground for first time this last week. We'll it was cold the first night so turned the heat on and the AC came on at the same time as the furnace. I thought maybe it had a unit that did both heat and cool. Looked all through the books and could not find anything on the AC unit. Does it come on to help move the air around or do I have a wiring issue?

I suspect the fan came on, not the AC. Take a look at your thermostat on the fan setting, make sure it is set to auto. Otherwise, it comes on when either the AC or heat is on.
