A/C check-up

After a hot summer of giving my a/c's a lot of run time, I went on the roof today and pulled the middle a/c to see how my duct taping job held up. Just fine!

But I did find some sawdust still in the intake side of the middle a/c so that got cleaned out. Took the covers off the other two a/c's and gave them a good blowing off with compressed air.

Voltage is all set for another hot summer next year.

Just curious.....if your middle ac is like the 3950. The return is not straight into the living space. The returns are off set to the side of the living room. When I pulled the middle unit and taped the inside (the week we bought it), I noticed that it is screwed directly into a stud via a lag bolt. How tight did you torque them down? I am afraid to go too tight as they would strip out...not sure what to do if they did. I would like to make the unit tighter to the roof, I like having the bracket in the inside that can be torqued too.

I didn't make it super tight; just snugged it down without giving it a lot of force.
