For all of the complaints we here about tires, sure not very many reports, same thing with broken frame welds or brakes that are not hooked up, tanks that fall out on the interstate, running/brake lights not wired correctly, etc.

Just saying for all the complaining that gets done not much of the important stuff gets reported.

I believe in giving the manufacturers and dealers the oppourtunity to correct deficiencies, but I also believe in reporting it to the responsible agency. The NTSB is supposed to be there to protect the travelling public, by reporting crappy tires and other serious saftey defects patterns begin to show, investigations can be undertaken and changes will come.

I know the NTSB dosen't give a rats behind about the other stuff like propane leaks, until they involve tunnels, bridges or ferries.

Within 100 miles of where I live, there have been half a dozen or more campers that have burnt to the ground on the road, some authority beyond the local fire marshall must be interested in the cause.

With all the BS going on about our tires and workmanship, The Builder and Dealers, Don't care!! I'm glad that some of the new owners that come here, listen to us about, NOT taking that RV off the lot, until everything is fixed!! I have been lucky on this Voltage, and my old Lance Camper, I have had only minor fixes, My last Toy Hauler, Fuzion, had everything but the kitchen sick go bad, and I couldn't wait to trade it in….It sure would be nice to do something about the Builders, because of the cost of these RV's, if they build your house, it would fall apart...

The standards, what few exist for RV's, are set very low. The tire standard for ST tires is a joke. Basically as long as it has rubber, a couple of belts and is marked on the sidewall it passes the "standard". Face it, they build less than 400,000 RV's a year vs 4.25 million cars and that is just in the US. The RV industry pays good money to it's lobbyists to make sure that any regulation stays off the radar.

Interesting that pretty much every tire that is tagged as a "China Bomb" are all made by the same company.

Welcome to TBC Brands

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and their brands are listed, except for Akuret. For some reason they don't show Akuret on the TBC page, but if you go to the about us on the Akuret site it shows it's a TBC brand.

I guess these guys are the Thor Inustries of the tire industry. Inhale all the commetion, reduce costs and increase profits.

Also interesting is the tires I have gone to, as well as some of the other durable brands are not part of this Mega Tire Corp.
