3895 rear bathroom

I need a favor , my back bathroom doesn't seem to be connected to the roof vent for the holding tank. The vent PVC pipe is capped under the sink. I can't figure out where it runs up to the pipe that goes thru the roof. I'll try to post a picture of my under sink plumbing. Thanks for any help. If someone has the 3895, please post a picture of your under sink plumbing.

Mine is the same under the sink!!!

My guess is the two vents on the roof above the wall between the kitchen and the garage bath are the vents for the rear grey and black tanks. I don't think the drains are vented... just the tanks???

Mike, if I'm seeing the picture correctly, the stub in the picture is the sink vent. It is screwed on in most cases for cleaning and replacement. These are used where they don't want to penetrate the roof any more than necessary.

I used them for my sinks in my solar house so I wouldn't have to penetrate the metal roof.

It's supposed to that way. It's a one-way valve. Unscrew it to remove. If it rattles then it is working properly. Replacements can be found at most any hardware store. PS, you'll stink up the place when you take the valve off.

I don't have that little cap looking thing on top of my vent tube. Do you think that is a one way vavle?
Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the reply.

The picture shows a coupling on the end of the ABS where the vent would screw into. Looking closely at the tape I'd bet someone a beer that you actually have the vent there and that it has been taped over for some reason. Perhaps it leaked or failed in some way. It's there, you can see the indentation on the tape where the vent ports are.

Remove it and the tape and put it back in and see if it works correctly.

Thanks Sundancer
You were correct. I took off the tape and it was on there. Hard for me to get in there to see. Can't figure out why Dutchmen would cover up a vent. Maybe they did a pressure test or something . I shouldn't be suprised at anything Dutchmen does though
Also after checking the rest of the plumbing I found that the washer/dryer prep is capped and taped without a "vent valve". I there supposed to be one there as well? I don't have a washer /dryer . Thanks again to all that commented.

I have the W/D prep also, stubbed out the same way as yours. I could be the washer is vented to the toilet vent. On mine, the garage toilet is within a few inches of the stub outs so that's my guess. A normal, I say normal plumbing scheme would want it to be that way, less roof vents and penetrations and less ABSand labor.
