2017 Voltage 4150 tank heater question

This model has 2 black tanks and 2 grey tanks along with 2 fresh water tanks tied together. There are only 3 tank heater switches in the control cabinet. Dont want to assume and dealership called Dutchmen but couldnt get an answer on this. From left to right on switches would #1 be the Master bathroom black tank, #2 Grey tank for Master / Kitchen and #3 be actually for both rear Black / Grey tanks together? In some cases we dont use the rear bathroom / shower at all if its a short weekend trip to save on tank cleanings so want to make sure should temps be below freezing i only use heater switches on the tanks we are using. Any insights would be appreciated.

One thing is for sure, you have three switches for tank heaters.

The rest is a SWAG as to what switch goes to which tank. Using common sense and logic is kind of lost on the manufacturer's products.

If you want to be sure which tank is controlled by which switch you'll need to troubleshoot the tank/switch relationship. Good thing is, you only have to do it to two switches.

The switches are put in the panel, someone strings wire to the tank heater and someone else puts it together. From there it's all free thought and association.

Yep, they are getting smarter now. Instead of starting a new post they are posting in old threads.

Thanks guys, spammer is gone. Been wide open at work the past few days and missed the email notification.

Interestingly enough that was the second on one this thread.

Are the tankheaters only used on the black or grey tanks? Was wondering. I have 3 tank heater switches and have 6 tanks including fresh water.

I also have 3 switches. When I opened the bottom to install electric valves I found the front gray and black tanks on 1 switch, the rear gray and black tanks on 1 switch and both of my fresh water (80 gals each) tanks on 1 switch. I do have 2 bathrooms so not sure your model.

Hope that helps.

Tank Heaters

Just thinking out loud, what if you filled all tanks about half way or more, flipped on one switch and wait a couple days, drain some water out of all tanks and see which one is the warmest, process of elimination i guess

Thats a good thought. Just stopped by dealer and new haulers have a single label that says “tank heaters”. No joke and they clearly say not to use unless min 1/3 full. Lol

Pretty darn sure your "1 fresh" is actually 2 tanks flowing into each other like mine. How many gallons total is your fresh tank? 160 gallons right? That would be 2-80 gallons tanks, just like mine. I know, because I removed the entire bottom of mine and saw all the tanks with my own eyes.

Yep.. my 3200 has two 80-gal fresh tanks also, and only 5 total (only have 1 toilet, so only 1 black tank).

The fresh tanks sit between the 2 forward tanks (grey & black), and the rear grey:
