Thanks Sundancer 87. I did read your posts and you mentioned yours was behind the fireplace in your 3800. I will check on top of the fireplace insert now on my 3305 to see if it's there. Sounds like it might be because I cant see the RCA cable anywhere behind or to the right or left of the fireplace insert. I have the Sony unit as my main unit. Did you have to do anything special to the sub/head unit settings to get it to work well? My paperwork came with a manual for a REI 150 watt powered sub. Same as yours?

Any tricks/tips to removing the faux brick panel?

Mine isn't a powered sub woofer but there is a duplex recepticle behind the fire place so there's power there.

The brick is nailed on and may or may not have silicone sealant. I used a sturdy putty knife to get under the edges. The nails are long so you'll have to finesse the top portion a little at a time and equally on both sides. It'll come off, just go slow.

Thanks sundancer 87. My powered sub was mounted with 4 screws behind the faux brick panel. I was able to remove it by hand with no tools. They did not run a remote turn on wire from the deck to the sub. I connected a remote turn on wire and made some adjustments to the bass levels and it is working great now. Very poor quality control at the factory to put in the speaker upgrade and not even check to see if it's working.
