What else - Tires

Just went to replace my Akuret tires, I replaced them with a E rating tire. When we were talking (with the dealer who put my tires on) about tires they had mentioned Marathons, when I told them I wanted E rating they supplied me with a Briway tire. The tire itself appears to be a pretty decent tire. I have found limited info on the Briway tire. The info that I did find had no bad comments.

Just another Chinese tire manufacturer... They are fairly new 2009.

I don't understand WHY the US tire manufacturers have stopped making trailer tires. I have some old trailers on the place that have US made tires in just about every size known to man, most are no longer available EXCEPT from the Chinese manufacturers.

I have 14" tires on my Coleman CM16FBS I have only found ONE tire manufacturer that makes a D rated tire in my size. Kenda, now Kenda has been around a long time and makes tires for a lot of different things. I have run Kenda tires on my bicycles and motor scooters for years, never had a problem with them. Kenda has been around since 1962. I believe they are actually a Taiwanese company, which does make a difference.

You'd do best getting far away from all Chinese made trailer tires.
