RV Bed Lift weight limit?

Hello,

I have a 2017 30’ Denali 5th wheel. I want to replace the mattress but am trying to figure out what lift piston weight limitations there are with the factory installed equipment. I’m considering an 80 lb. Bed in a Box as a replacement. Any ideas?

If that's the bed you want just buy it. If the stock shocks don't hold it just replace them with larger psi ones.

Oh & welcome to the site!

Those shocks don't support more than the weight of the current mattress and a pair of slippers (probably not the best shocks they could get). I would follow DesertRat's advice. Just remember, you will need to lift the bed up in order to get at the storage compartment so the weight will tend to be an issue someday.

You can also adjust the shocks to compensate for the heavier weight. Just move the lower mounting points forward a inch or two.
