LED lighting underneath

I recently purchased a 2011 Dutchmen Colorado 32OBS. Beautiful camper. While looking at the underside I discovered some LED lights on both frame rails. They appear to be professionally installed however, I traced the wires to the battery area where I found that they are disconnected. Were they installed by the factory or dealer? I'd appreciate any light on this.

Keep 'em, they look great at night. Don't think these were even an option. My bet is the owner initiated the install.

Welcome to the form, ArDo.

If they are wired directly to the battery, they are aftermarket. It's odd that the person that installed them wouldn't tie into the stair lights, so they are controlled with the stair switch inside the camper. When sitting outside you can turn the stair light off at the fixture and relax in that nice glow.

I have seen a few rigs that had some serious light displays that are wired to the battery. We're talking lightshow stuff though, so maybe there was more than just the lights on the frame rails at one time.

Thanks for your reply. I do plan on hooking them up, just need to get the hardware.
