infinity plumbing

Hi all. Before I dive into the "mechanical room" perhaps ya all can be helpful and offer up some advice:

1.) Are the check valves brass or plastic

2. How many valves have to replaced?

3. what kind of quality are the faucets and showers?

"why is there never enough time to do things right and proper , but always time to do things over?"

Hi,
All the connectors and valves I've seen in my 2012 3640RL are plastic or PVC as is normally used with Pex piping. The only check valve I am aware of is (I believe) to prevent expansion from the water heater from putting excess pressure on the entire plumbing system. (I know that because I had an intermittent leak right at that valve which I eventually realized was happening when I first turned on the hot water tank.) The connections are either brass (copper?) pressure rings on the Pex connections or screw-type plastic fittings similar to garden hose connections. With all those Pex connections, a good investment is the tool you use to apply those compression rings..... just in case.

Yup, got the special tool. and fittings. when I get a chance I will be changing over to a brass checkvalve. I believe there is also a checkvalve at the water pump is there not?
