Drawer slides
Slides are on outside of a large drawer. My question is,,, I see there is all different sizes, from 8 inches to 24 inches, I think mine are 16,, but how do you measure these. Do you measure this with the piece that's screwed to the cabinet with everything contracted ?

Measure from the face of the cabinet to the back where the slide is fastened, unless you have side mounted slides where they mount to the drawer sides and the cabinet sides. I have yet to see an RV with side mounted drawer slides. Mine are 26".

Take a look at the very back of the slide, does it have a bracket mounted to the rear frame? If so it ain't side mount. I see a gap between the bracket and the cabinet side.

Mine are definitely side mount,, the back of the guide has a L shape bracket ant the front is attached to the side of the cabinet,, then it has the Male part of the guide mounted to the side of the drawer. Just curious how to measure length,, as there is many different sizes,, I am assuming you measure the guide that mounts to the cabinet while it is collapsed. ???????

Measure it collapsed, or measure from the front face of the cabinet to where the rear of the slide mounts.

May I ask what slides did you buy? I need to replace mine as well and they look like yours.

Oh nice. Do you remember if it was the stay-close kind, where it won't slide out while traveling? I didn't know they have those at Home Depot or Lowe's, which would be amazing that I don't have to find them at RV specialty stores.

I was disappointed but they didn't have the piece to hold shut so I went to hardware store and got a small male/female catch
